AFI Changemakers is a global movement of young people who passionately believe that their voices matter. They want to see a world where the youth are represented at all levels of decision making, a reflection of the fact that 50% of the world’s population are under 35. An AFI developed program, they have been hosting summits at the United Nations to give young people the opportunity to make their voices heard. The organization is run by young people, for young people, and their unique viewpoint has been presented to the Right to Development Working Group, The Social Forum and the World Health Organization in the AFI official reports. As a global movement, they are about more than the United Nations as their mission is to empower young people to become advocates for the issues that matter to them, from their local communities to the world stage. It doesn’t matter where you live, as the youth of today are the first ever truly global community.
