My wife seems to believe I have a gift of sleeping really well. Lol. That’s besides the point really. I think over the years I have learned to be less and less of a worrier and more of a dreamer. As an entrepreneur my mind has become more of a solution box, so something keeping me awake (not literally – nothing really takes sleep from me) is more around how to solve strategic business challenges or birth new ideas. Recently, the pandemic had quite an impact on my business, and I had to really think of new solutions and opportunities to diversify my business portfolio. These days I'm on the lookout for the next big thing. I think I have played on my current level long enough. I want more. So physically asleep or awake, the next big thing keeps my mind and eyes wide open.
One of my drivers in life is to make an improvement in the life of people that come across me or my work. A legacy built on the pillars of Hope, Impact and Resilience is what I would want the summary of my story to become. So my pride is really around two things: 1) the family I've built with God's help and 2) those I have inspired through my work and businesses to dare to dream and go beyond themselves to accomplish things they never thought possible irrespective of their background or current circumstances. These are the stories that gives my pride and at the same time keep me grounded to do even more.
